i attended the MUNA Saturday and Sunday. It was very interesting, although i screwed up saturday morning. apparently, we had to discuss issues concerning our respective countries. guess what? we didn't get the country assignments until the day before we had to go. we didn't get the issues until the morning of the MUNA. it's like sending us to war without guns or ammo. or any ideas on how to survive. liek sending a seven year old kid to Iraq. Thank goodness my coutry was Myanmar and my issue was gender equality. Myanmar has no problem with that so i could sit down and shut up. I went there with Luke Eeles, Erika Hoffman and Angelina Aki.
I met some nice people there from Brent. There was Marice Sy representing Romania, Daisuke Suzuki representing Iraq and Vin Wong representing South Africa. Very nice and friendly. Then there was Pauline Diaz representing Iran and she was a good debator. a damn good one. there were a couple of amusing guys there too. the delegates of the Netherlands, Greece and Benin were funny.

Netherlands: ... and Marijuana is legal in our country.
Benin: then the delegate of Benin would like to establish bi-lateral trade relations with the delegate of the netherlands for the sale of Marijuana!
Committee Chair: Delegate, that is out of order.

The Secretary-General (SG) and the delegate of the World Health Organization (WHO) were arguing and THAT was funny.

SG: Surprisingly, the delegate who was voted the hottest delegate was the delegate of the WHO.
WHO: chair! chair! chair! right to statement!
SG: I am very sorry WHO, but i am denying your permission to speak because i do NOT find you HOt.
WHO: Hey! I got more than ONE flower today!
SG: Yes, and i have constantly received notes from a certain delegate addressed to the WHO asking her to smile because he apparently likes to see her smile. Now i won't name names, but i can see a certain delegate reaching out to speak right now.
China: ... (reaching out to speak) Fine. (raises his hand sheepishly)
Everyone else: UY!!

that was funny.
hehe i liked someone there. yeah, he was nice and he was cute plus he was intelligent. Suzuki Daisuke caught my attention. Not as a crush, but he amused me. He amazed me too. He's pure Japanese, i think, and speaks English as fluently as an American. He has the accent and everything! Amazing, really.
then there was the guy who looked like Stephen, my cousin from Michigan. I SWEAR, if Stephen wasn't stuck in the middle of nowhere, i would have sworn that was him. they talked the same, walked the same, same height, same hair, had the same cockiness, looked smart and stupid the same way... it was seriously scary. his name was chris, i think. delegate of Bahrain. he debated with everyone a lot. India was funny too.

India: (raising placard)
SG: yes, delegate of India, to what point do you raise?
India: a point to Parliamentary Inquiry?
SG: yes, you have been recognized
India: i motion to--
SG: motion denied india, and if you motion to do anything again i will ban you.

there were lots of times like that at the end of the MUNA.

WHO: hey! SG!
SG: you are denied, WHO and if you speak one more time i will kick you out of this room.
everyone started laughing. another one:
SG: Fine, WHO, Brunei and then France may have their rights to statements in that order. India is denied.
WHO: the WHO would just like to remind all the delegates to remember not to take any drugs whatsoever, especially halucegenics such as Marijuana because it endangers you and makes you vote for the wrong things... *some parts i no longer remember*
SG: yes, WHO, we are aware of that
WHO: thank you
Netherlands: OBJECTION!
SG: we are sorry that the WHO does not acknowledge your notice, Netherlands, and we are also sorry that they do not apologize.
Netherlands: chair!
SG: yes, delegate of the Netherlands, to what point do you raise?
Netherlands: the delegate of the Netherlands would like to raise a statement to the WHO.
SG: yes, Netherlands, proceed.
Netherlands: the Netherlands cannot obey the WHO's request because Marijuana is legal in our country. HA!
everyone: NICE ONE!
SG: yes Brunei, what is your statement?
Brunei: first of all, i would like to say that since the SG has continually ignored me though i have waived my placard in his face and even jumped up and down and yet he STILL ignores me, i would like to file a diplomatic protest against the SG!
(everyone starts cheering)
Brunei: SHUT UP i only have 30seconds
(everyone starts laughing)
Brunei: anyway, i would like to file a diplomatic protest against the SG and i deman that he dances in the middle of the floor and apologizes to me!
(everyone cheers again)
SG: delegate of France, what was your statement?
France: uhhh i forgot my statement.

it was a lot of fun at the end, after all the resolutions had been passed. when all the stress had gone, it was a lot of fun.

Italy: (raising placard)
SG: yes Italy, to what point do you raise?
Italy: a point of parliamentary inquiry?
SG: yes, delegate, you have been recognized
Italy: the delegate of Italy would just like to know: what happened to the motion we filed to play a game?
SG: uhhh... yes i received that and so many of you signed that.
Bahrain: I object to that game!

the MUNA was a lot of fun when all the serious stuff was over... yeah it was a lot of fun. i would like to do it again. i would also really like to attend the GYLC. that will be fun.
it's happening again in October. i would like to go again. i think Mr. Aligonero wants me to go anyway, but as a delegate of the Philippines. YES! another country that has NO say in any matter! YEY! oh wait, that's this country! oh well. i hope i see everyone there again.
haha... good memories.
i attended the HALE concert as well. Shelldon Gellada said hi to me! i'm happy for that alone. he is such a good bassist! i like him a lot. they're really good. there were so many posers, though! i was so ashamed to be even near them.
oh well.
and then last night...
bad news this morning.
a nursing student died last night, and my cousin and two of my friends new him. i am sorry for it. he was shot twice in the chest during an attempted carnapping. i hope he rests in peace. we were at the place where he died two hours later.
it turns out he was car JACKED. stabbed and beat up too. kill the dudes who killed him!
i pray for the repose of his soul.
i might be going to the tomasinotaku Nihon Festival: 愛の日 after all! This time, i'll be going with Marie, Allison, Martin and Jansen. i met Allison and Martin in Sofia's party, which went on great, by the way. Allison is so funny! i met Ken, Kathleen and Raiza there as well. i'll still be going as MANA to Tomasinotaku. Marie will be going as a Geisha! how nice.
we played tekken and sat around and talked at Sofia's place. there was: sofia, jansen, mykhos, marie, martin, allison, kathleen, raiza and ken. we all had a good time. we watched some videos there too... nice little get-together in the middle of nowhere. i can't wait until i see them all again.
